Words & Music by Tom Dolan
A while ago, we ran into some tough times, financially. I'd sold a successful Taekwondo school to focus on the music, and we'd been living so close to the edge, it looked like bankruptcy was our only way out. With no doors opening, and a bunch of rejections, I was feeling like a big failure. Then I read in Jeremiah, and it was like God was speaking to ME. I'd been seeking, but with my whole heart? No, I'd been holding back. Things like jealousy, bitterness, pride, envy and even fear. Change didn't come overnight, but God DID have a plan for good, and not for evil, for hope and a future, and I want Him to have my whole heart. (Jeremiah 29:11-13, Proverbs 3:5-6)
He made us in His image, the Maker of all things
But still we all are human, we're lost and wondering
Sometimes I feel Him near me, sometimes I'm by myself
But even in the dark place, I call on no one else
Chorus
I'm calling, Abba, Father, please don't leave me
Cause here I am again
I'm calling, Holy, Father, God of mercy
I really need a friend
I climb the highest mountain, it makes me feel so young
But somewhere on that journey, it always comes undone
But in the deepest valley, like horses running free
It's where I find His presence, and when I most believe
Chorus
I'm calling, I'm Calling
Chorus
